A man has died and a woman critically injured following a single-vehicle crash near Dubbo yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 2.15pm (Saturday 13 January 2018), emergency services were called to Mendooran Road, Mendooran, following reports a car had crashed into a tree.
The male driver died at the scene. He has not been formally identified.
A female passenger was released from the vehicle and airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Police from Orana Mid-Western Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
