Man dies in workplace accident at Botany

A man has died in a workplace accident in Botany today.

Just before 9.40am (Saturday 2 November 2019) emergency services were called to a business on Tenterden Road, Botany, following reports a man had been injured.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command, as well as NSW Ambulance paramedics attended.

Investigations suggest the 77-year-old man was working on a vehicle when he was struck and trapped between two vehicles.

Despite police attempts to revive him, he died at the scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident will be conducted by SafeWork NSW.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
