A man has died after being pulled from the surf at Catherine Hill Bay this afternoon.
About 2.45pm (Tuesday 17 December 2024), emergency services were called to Catherine Hill Bay following reports a man had been pulled from the surf and was unresponsive.
Lifeguards and NSW Ambulance paramedics administered CPR to the man; however, the 55-year-old man was unable to be revived.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District attended the scene and have commenced inquiries into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
