On Tuesday 19 June 2018, Major Crash investigators successfully extradited a 24 year old man from Port Augusta in South Australia in relation to a fatal crash that occurred around 4:40am in Balladonia on 23 December 2016.
He has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 20 June 201, WA Police say8
It is alleged he was the driver of a Holden Colorado utility that was travelling along the Eyre Highway when approximately 40kms east of the Balladonia Road House, the vehicle left the road and rolled several times before coming to a stop.
A 21 year old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle, died as a result of injuries she received in the crash.
The man was originally due to appear in the Norseman Magistrates Court on 13 November 2017 and when he failed to appear, an arrest warrant was issued.
