Man Extradited Over Domestic Assault At Kent Town

A man appeared in court today charged over a domestic violence incident that occurred at Kent Town in March.

Police attended a domestic assault at Kent Town about 10pm on Saturday 30 March.

A woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, who is known to the victim, left prior to police arrival.

Eastern District Child and Family Investigation Section have been working with their Victorian counterparts to locate the suspect.

The 45-year-old man was arrested by Victoria Police in South Melbourne on Friday and extradited to South Australia over the weekend.

He appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today charged with threats to kill, assault cause harm, contravene intervention order and theft. He was remanded in custody to appear on 26 February.
