Man Extradited Over Stolen ADF Vehicle in Brisbane

Queensland Police have extradited a 26-year-old man from Victoria and have charged him with several offences in relation to the theft of an Australian Defence Force vehicle from Enoggera earlier this month.

It will be alleged that around 2:25am on Thursday, July 18, the man gained access to the Samford Road property where the vehicle was driven away from.

The vehicle was later located abandoned near Tel El Kebir Street at Mitchelton, with graffiti on it.

Following a joint interstate investigation between Queensland Police and Victoria Police, a search warrant was executed at a Golden Square, Bendigo address in Victoria this weekend, where the 26-year-old Keperra man was taken into custody.

He has since been extradited from Victoria to Brisbane, where he has been formally charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and wilful damage.

The man was remanded in police custody and is due to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, July 29.

Investigations into the incident continue.
