Man glassed in back during altercation - Burwood

A man has lacerations after he was glassed in the back during an altercation at Burwood overnight.

About 12.10am (Thursday 12 November 2020) a 28-year -old man was at a restaurant on The Boulevarde when he went outside to the rear of the premises.

The man was approached by two other men and a verbal altercation commenced.

Police have been told one of the men produced a beer bottle and struck the man in the back.

The injured man returned to the restaurant and emergency services attended.

He was treated at the scene for lacerations and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police from Burwood Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
