A man is in a critical condition in the Royal Adelaide Hospital after being assaulted at Elizabeth South this afternoon.
About 12.30pm on Tuesday 28 April, Northern District Police were called to Underdown Road at Elizabeth South after reports of an altercation. It will be alleged two men were involved in a fight and both were wielding weapons.
As a result of the altercation, a 49-year-old man from Elizabeth South sustained life-threatening head injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
A 46-year-old Elizabeth South man was arrested and is being interviewed by police. He is expected to be charged with aggravated affray.
