A man is in a critical condition after a fight at a home in Tamworth last night.
About 9pm (Thursday 5 March 2020), emergency services were called to a house on Merrinee Place, Hillvue, following reports of a domestic-related incident.
A 53-year-old man was treated on the scene for an internal injury, before being taken to Tamworth Base Hospital in a critical condition.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station, where he is assisting investigators with their inquiries.
Officers from Oxley Police District have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
