A man remains in a critical condition following a single-vehicle crash near Yass today, NSW Police say.
About 7.30am today, a 40-year-old man was driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer along the Hume Highway, Bowning (about 15km north west of Yass).
Initial inquiries have led police to believe the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
Witnesses went to the assistance of the driver, before he was treated by Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Canberra Hospital. He remains there in a critical condition.
The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
