A man is in custody following a wounding incident in Mornington on Hobart's eastern shore a short time ago.
Police and emergency services were called to an address in Binalong Road about 1.30pm following a report of a woman being injured with a knife.
Upon arrival, a woman was located with serious injuries.
A man was arrested and taken into custody at the scene without incident.
Investigations are continuing but early investigations suggest that the man and woman are known to one another.
