Police arrested a man after he allegedly pointed a laser at the police Air Wing this morning, injuring aircraft crew.
The helicopter was flying above the Footscray area when a laser was shone at the aircraft just after midnight on 17 November.
Air Wing officers directed police on the ground to a Footscray address shortly after.
Footscray officers interviewed a 53-year-old Footscray man and seized a laser from his address.
He is expected to be charged on summons at a later date with endangering the safe operation of an aircraft, possessing a dangerous article, reckless conduct endangering life, recklessly causing injury and assault emergency worker.
Two aircraft crew sustained injuries to their eyes during the incident and required medical treatment.
