Man interviewed over St Helena hit-run

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have interviewed a man following an alleged hit-run in St Helena this morning.

The 70-year-old Croydon man was interviewed by detectives and has been released pending further enquires.

A white Ford was seized at an address in Gladysdale as part of the investigation and will be forensically examined in the coming days.

The male pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene after he was allegedly struck by a vehicle on St Helena Road, near the intersection of Wallowa Road just before 3am.
