Man seriously injured after single-vehicle crash at Moree

A man has been seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in the state's north last week.

Just before 7.30pm on Friday (17 December 2021), emergency services were called to the Gwydir Highway, about 15km east of Moree, following reports a Toyota Hilux had left the roadway and crashed into a concrete barrier.

The driver and sole occupant – a 24-year-old man – man was taken to Moree Hospital before being airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to New England Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for witnesses – including drivers with dashcam footage – to call Moree Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
