Man Shot In Arm At Homebush

An investigation is underway after a man was shot in the arm at Homebush this morning.

Just before 3am (Friday 18 October 2024), emergency services were called to Figtree Drive, Sydney Olympic Park, following reports of a shooting.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command arrived to find a man had been shot in the arm.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 29-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to hospital for further treatment.

A short time later, police were called to Dalley Street at Lidcombe where a car was found on fire.

Police believe the incident was targeted and inquiries are continuing to establish if the incidents are linked.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries underway into the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the car fire, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
