Man Strikes Rich With A $1 Entry

A St Clair resident is basking in the glow of his second major lottery win, this time turning a $1.15 ticket into an incredible $1.4 million prize in Lotto Strike.

The Sydney local held the only Division One winning entry nationally in Lotto Strike Draw 5536 on 4 November 2024, scooping a total of $1,487,810.25.

The lucky man, still in shock, revealed he’s no stranger to lottery wins, having previously snagged $50,000 in a second-chance draw years ago. Now, his latest triumph is proof that “lottery lightning” really can strike twice!

“It’s unbelievable!” he exclaimed when speaking to a lotto official.

“We’ve got a holiday coming up, so now we’ll be able to bring the whole family!”

The longtime Lotto Strike fan shared that he’s been playing the same numbers for over 20 years, logging onto his computer every Wednesday to check his tickets. But this time, the familiar routine was anything but ordinary.

“I hit Lotto Strike, and there were the numbers! I must’ve double-checked the win about 100 times,” he laughed. “We even have friends who won a Powerball jackpot a little while ago. We thought that was amazing, and now look—we’ve done it too!”

The timing couldn’t be better for the new millionaire, who said the prize will be a big help as retirement approaches.

The winning $1.15 ticket was purchased at Foodworks St Clair, where the staff were thrilled for their customer and wished him all the best with his winnings.

The winning numbers for Lotto Strike Draw 5536 were 36, 37, 6, and 4.

In Lotto Strike, players must match the first four numbers drawn in the exact order to win the Division One prize. If there’s no winner, the prize pool jackpots, making each draw even more exciting.
