Man, teenager charged after police pursuit at Fairfield

A man and a teenager have been charged following a police pursuit in Sydney's southwest yesterday.

About 4.30pm (Sunday 3 November 2019), officers attached to Fairfield Traffic and Highway Patrol initiated a pursuit in Smithfield of a vehicle suspected to be stolen.

The officers pursued the vehicle through Wetherill Park and Prairiewood before terminating the pursuit due to the manner of driving.

Officers later located the vehicle, abandoned, on Arrowhead Road, Greenfield Park.

A search of the area was commenced with officers assisted by the Dog Unit and PolAir.

Police located and arrested two males on Prairievale Road, Prairiewood.

They were taken to Fairfield Police Station.

A 16-year-old teenager was charged with breach of bail and was bail refused to appear at a children's court today (Monday 4 November 2019).

An 18-year-old man was charged with be carried in conveyance without consent of owner. He was bail refused to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
