A man will face court today after being charged with the alleged murder of a man in the state's New England region almost a decade ago.
Darren Royce Willis, then aged 45, was seen leaving the Imperial Hotel at Bingara on the evening of Friday 10 December 2010.
Following inquiries, Detectives investigating the 2010 disappearance arrested a 50-year-old man at Moree Police Station, about 9am on Thursday 1 October 2020.
He was charged with conceal serious indictable offence (murder).
The man was placed on strict conditional bail to appear before Moree Local Court today (Monday 16 November 2020).
