Man Wanted On Warrants Charged At Dunedoo

A man will face court today charged with four outstanding arrest warrants in the state's Central West.

About 5pm yesterday (Tuesday 16 July 2024), officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended a home on Digilah Road, Dunedoo, after information was received a man wanted by police was at the location.

Police searched the rear yard and located the 51-year-old man attempting to start a car, when he failed and sighted police he fled on foot.

Officers commenced a foot pursuit and a short time later following a struggle with the man, he was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.

Officers executed four outstanding arrest warrants for domestic violence-related offences.

He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Wednesday 17 July 2024).
