A man who allegedly escaped police custody in Sydney's south west on Saturday has been located.
The 28-year-old man was last seen on Meredith Street, Bankstown about 6.30am on Saturday 28 September 2024.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and immediately commenced inquiries to locate him.
Following inquiries, the man was located and arrested inside a unit on Saurine Street, Bankstown about 9.40pm yesterday (Sunday 29 September 2024).
He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with escape police custody.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Monday 30 September 2024).
