Mandurah Detectives have charged a woman in relation to an incident at a licensed venue in Mandurah last night, Tuesday 14 February 2023, in which the venue was rammed by a vehicle.
About 11:00pm police were called in relation to a red vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner outside the Pinjarra Road licensed venue, and then being used to ram the front of the building.
Police attended the scene and established a woman had been evicted from the venue due to staff believing she was too intoxicated. It will be alleged the woman had struck a staff member to their head with the heel of a high-heel shoe multiple times before leaving the venue, and then returned to the front of the building in a red Ford Mustang. It will be further alleged the Ford Mustang was driven into the front of the building several times, before the driver drove off from the scene.
Attending officers were provided information in relation to the last known direction the vehicle was seen being driven. They were able to follow tyre debris on the road and a marking left on the road by the metal rim of one of the wheels. The vehicle was located outside a residence in Coastal Retreat, Wannanup and seized for forensic examination.
A 39-year-old woman was located at the residence and arrested. She has since been charged by Mandurah Detectives with 'Common Assault', 'Failed to leave licensed premises when required to do so by an authorised person', 'Reckless Driving', 'Failed to comply with a requirement made by a police officer', 'Unlawful act or omission with intent to harm (endangering life, health or safety of any person)', and 'Criminal Damage or Destruction of Property'.
She was refused bail and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 15 February 2023.
