- New operator sought to manage one of Perth's biggest fresh food farmers markets
- Market attracts more than 3,500 visitors each Saturday and supports more than 80 stallholders
- Initiative aligns with the Bentley Redevelopment Project's vision to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community
DevelopmentWA is seeking an experienced market operator to manage the hugely popular Manning Road Farmers Market, part of the Bentley Redevelopment Area.
Since opening at Hedley Park in Bentley in late 2024, the popular market has become a cornerstone of Bentley's local identity and community life, attracting more than 3,500 visitors and around 80 stallholders each Saturday morning.
The call for a new operator forms part of DevelopmentWA's broader commitment to ensuring the long-term success of the market and the activation of the Bentley Redevelopment Project - a major 30-hectare urban renewal initiative that will deliver 800 to 1,000 new homes, along with new parks, amenities, and increased tree canopy.
The successful proponent will enter into a five-year Access Licence Agreement and be responsible for all aspects of market management, from operations and vendor engagement to community outreach and sustainability practices.
Submissions close at 2pm Australian Western Standard Time on Wednesday, 30 April 2025.

As stated by Planning and Lands Minister John Carey:
"Farmers markets are a brilliant way to bring the community together, and the Manning Road Farmers Market has become one of the biggest and most successful we've ever seen in Western Australia.
"This is a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced operator to take the farmers market forward and build on its strong reputation within the community."
