A critical incident investigation is underway following the death of a man after NSW Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to assist him in Campbelltown this morning.
About 1.15am (Friday 11 April 2025), emergency services were called to Parkside Crescent following reports of a concern for welfare.
On arrival, NSW Police officers, with the assistance of NSW Ambulance paramedics, attempted to assist and sedate the man, when he became unconscious.
The officers and paramedics attempted to revive the 41-year-old man; however, he died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established.
A critical incident investigation team from Bankstown Police Area Command will now investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident under Strike Force Morinville.
The investigation will be subject of an independent review by the Professional Standards Command and oversight by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
