Perth Detectives have charged a 37-year-old man in relation to the death of an 11-year-old child in September 2021.
The 11-year-old boy has required 24/7 care support since he was injured in his family home in December 2010.
In September 2021, due to his deteriorating health, the 11-year-old boy was admitted to Perth Children's Hospital for end of life care. Tragically, he died on Friday 24 September 2021.
It will be alleged the injuries the boy received in 2010 are directly linked to his death in 2021.
The 37-year-old man, who is known to the boy, was arrested yesterday, Thursday 13 June 2024, and has been charged with Manslaughter. He was refused bail and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, Friday 14 June 2024.
