Marine Pollution Drill Set for Rippleside Beach

Rippleside Beach to be used by Australian Marine Oil Spill Centre for training on 5 February and 12 February.

The Australian Marine Oil Spill Centre (AMOSC) offers internationally accredited oil spill response training.

This specialised training includes scenario-based exercises in sensitive environments, allowing participants to gain valuable experience and build confidence in performing tasks and duties during an oil spill response.

On 5 and 12 February, AMOSC will conduct these training sessions at Rippleside Beach. The northern section of the beach will be used to demonstrate the effective operation of offshore, nearshore, and shoreline oil spill response equipment.

The training will take place from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM on 5 February and from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM on 12 February.

The beach will remain open to the public throughout both training sessions.
