A new event showcasing the very best Corangamite Shire and region has to offer is coming to Timboon in November.
Graze the Day will be held on Kirrae Whurrung Country at the Timboon natural amphitheatre on Saturday 23 November from 11 am-5 pm.
Live music includes 19-Twenty and Bluestone River Band.
Artisan stalls will feature local producers unique to the region, with presentations and workshops.
The event will also celebrate First Peoples' culture with live music, a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony and traditional dance performance organised by Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation (EMAC).
A Kids' Zone will include a Wild Action Zoo and habitat learning sessions.
Mayor Kate Makin said the aim was to create an iconic event unique to Corangamite.
"There will be a fun blend of music, activities, artisan produce and local makers, as well as cultural activities," Cr Makin said.
"The aim is to create an iconic annual event that draws both locals and visitors each year, showcasing Timboon as a foodie destination.
"It also builds on the work done around the Timboon to Port Campbell trail and celebrating the cultural heritage of the area," Cr Makin said.
Council will lead and deliver the new event, with the support of the 12 Apostles Food Artisans group, EMAC, Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism (GORRT), local producers, community and businesses.
Indigenous artist and Kirrae Whurrung woman Sherry Johnstone has been commissioned to create a visual identity for Graze the Day.
Graze the Day will be a ticketed event at $20 per person (children free).
Final programming is still in development and ticket sales will be available online soon.
