Marnoo residents and businesses will benefit from a flood study starting later this month that aims to enhance the flood resilience of the local Marnoo community by improving the available flood information.
The first stage of the study will commence with a community drop-in session to gather local knowledge particularly photographs of past flooding events in the district.
Northern Grampians Shire Council has received funding from the Australian and Victorian governments to conduct the study in partnership with North Central Catchment Management Authority (CMA). Water Technology Environmental Services (WaterTech) has been appointed to lead the technical component of the study to model a range of flood scenarios to determine what areas are impacted by flood water in Marnoo.
