Mayor of Central Goldfields Shire Council, Cr Grace La Vella has today expressed heartfelt gratitude to the emergency service workers and Council's emergency management team who responded to a tragic house fire in Maryborough yesterday.
"Our thoughts are first and foremost with the family and loved ones affected by this devastating incident. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those impacted," said Mayor La Vella.
"In the face of tragedy, we are reminded of the bravery, dedication, and resilience of our emergency service workers and Council staff who responded and provided assistance under incredibly difficult circumstances."
The Mayor also acknowledged the broader community for their support.
"In times of crisis, we see the strength of our community come to the fore. I want to thank our residents for their compassion and support for those affected."
