Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer is encouraging the community to stay safe while celebrating the festive season.
"I hope everyone gets an opportunity to enjoy some much-needed peace and relaxation over the next few weeks. I encourage you to spend time with your loved ones, appreciate your blessings and show kindness to those who are less fortunate," Mayor Homer said.
"I want our community to enjoy the beautiful open spaces we have here in Shellharbour City. If you are visiting our beaches and pools, please be safe. Check the conditions, speak to our lifeguards and always swim between the flags.
"I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. I look forward to what 2023 will bring," Mayor Homer said.
