To all the great people of Cairns,
We have had a pretty tough 24 months and the next 12 may continue to be challenging.
So, what do we do?
We continue to follow the health advice that has kept us safe through the pandemic. We support each other, and in the spirit of the season, come together to work for the good of all.
For 2000 plus years, at this time of the year, we celebrate a wonderful example of love and faithfulness. If we can carry this through the year ahead our community will be well placed to weather any challenges that arise.
Finally, I hope you have a chance to relax and unwind over the coming days, and reflect that while this year has been tough, we are fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
If you can, spend some time exploring our tropical paradise and support our local businesses and tourism operators, who have been amongst the most impacted anywhere in the country.
