Cricket Victoria has announced a change to its executive team with Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch resigning from his position.
Crouch was appointed to the GM position in May 2021 and steered the club through 4 seasons, guiding the club through the difficult COVID period.
"I'd like to thank everyone at Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Stars for the opportunity to lead one of the biggest sporting clubs in the country," said Crouch.
"When I arrived at the club, the world was in the depths of the pandemic and to see the Stars and the league more broadly, thrive this summer, is a wonderful achievement and testament to everyone who worked tirelessly over my time at the club.
"In particular, I'd like to thank the dedicated Melbourne Stars staff both on and off the field who have been a wonderful support to me over the years.
"Last of all my thanks goes to our members and fans. It has been wonderful to get to know many of you over the past 4 years, and inspiring to see so many passionate families at the MCG or the CitiPower Centre.
"The time has come for someone else to steer the ship and I wish nothing but the best for the Stars and I look forward to being in the stands in WBBL|11 and BBL|15."
Cricket Victoria CEO Nick Cummins thanked Crouch for his time at the Stars.
"On behalf of Cricket Victoria I would like to thank Blair for his service to the Melbourne Stars. The role of a BBL General Manager is an extremely demanding one, and I thank Blair for his tireless commitment to driving the Stars forward."
"Cricket Victoria wishes him well for the next stage of his career," Cummins said.
Cricket Victoria will begin the search for a new Melbourne Stars General Manager shortly.
