Melbourne To Host One Of World's Largest Business Events

VIC Premier

The Allan Labor Government will welcome one of the world's biggest business events to Melbourne next year as it continues to back business.

Minister for Major Events Steve Dimopoulos today joined ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton, Victorian Chamber CEO Paul Guerra, and Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Julia Swanson to announce a new Government partnership to host the 14th World Chambers Congress in Melbourne.

Known as the 'Business Olympics', the World Chambers Congress will be held from 2 to 4 September 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It will showcase Victorian business to a global audience - as 2,000 of the world's business leaders, international government and trade delegations and local business leaders converge on Melbourne.

The Congress is a unique forum for sharing ideas and best practice on both global chamber and international business activities. Importantly, it will attract Governments of key economies around the world, and help identify new trade, investment and partnership opportunities for Victoria.

Melbourne secured the global rights to host the 14th World Chambers Congress in December 2022 as Victoria is a leading destination for major business events.

Events like these are crucial to driving economic growth, cultivating global business networks, harnessing innovation and strongly positioning Victoria on the global stage.
