Meet Lois.
Lois is a long-time volunteer with Bonegilla Migrant Experience (BME) and has shared some of her memories of her time volunteering.
BME holds a special place in her heart.
The site, a former migrant camp, was the first place Lois called home in Australia after arriving to Bonegilla on a bus from Sydney in 1967.
Lois was born in New Zealand in 1943 and lived there until she was 20 years old.
After marrying a Swiss, she moved to Switzerland for abour seven years.
The couple had two children, aged one and two, when they decided to migrate to Australia.
