The application period for grants to help Men's Sheds build capacity, support mental health and wellbeing and encourage equipment upgrades will soon close.
Minister for Community Services, Roger Jaensch, said Men's Sheds play a unique and important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of Tasmanian men.
"The sheds are great places for men to connect and share experiences, while getting involved in community projects," Minister Jaensch said.
Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, the Tasmanian Government has committed $175,000 per annum in 2024-25 and 2025-26 for the Tasmanian Men's Shed Association (TMSA) Grants Program.
"Tasmanian Men's Sheds are able to apply for grants of up to $10,000 for tools, equipment, machinery, mental health and wellbeing initiatives and Men's Shed member training opportunities," Minister Jaensch said.
"The 2024-25 grant program has been open since the beginning of November and closes soon, so this is a timely reminder to get your applications in."
Applications are welcome from Tasmanian Men's Sheds that are a member of the TMSA or are an organisation that operates as a 'Men's Shed'.
