Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said any resident feeling either lonely or in danger should contact the relevant authority or assistance line available to them.
"It is important to remind the community of the services available for those who need assistance, especially while living through such an interesting time in our lives," Cr Fedeli said.
"It is never acceptable for someone to be violent and it would be horrendous to be in isolation with an abuser. As well as that, feeling lonely or down could become worse during a time like this.
"We are here to help anyone who is suffering. Reach out to one of our local services or, if you don't feel you can, reach out to a friend who may be able to help."
