Imagine swimming 222 metres when you're just 8 years old!

This year's Busselton Jetty Swim is expecting to see around 150 junior swimmers, ageing from 8-12 years at the annual challenge.

Enroute to the big weekend, the kids, adults and their cheer squads fuel up along the way at long time supporter, Miami Bakehouse. Miami has been backing the Kid's Swim event for many years. This will be the 30th Anniversary of the event and it is expected to be bigger than ever.

The Busselton Jetty Swim has grown from 82 participants in 1996 to over 5,000 swimmers aged 8 to 88, with an anticipated 15,000 spectators. It is organised by Busselton Allsports Inc, a small volunteer committee that gets its support from other volunteers and the local community.

Held across two days from Saturday the 8th of February, the Busselton Jetty Swim has jam packed the weekend with celebrations for the 30th Anniversary. Saturday starts with an early morning Bay Run, and then three swim events including the Kid's Swim, before a Sunset Concert later that evening. With thousands of participants and spectators celebrating under the stars.

The organisers have teamed up with the WA Road Safety Commission this year as a reminder for participants to stay safe on the road and are encouraging them to take a break from driving at Miami Bakehouse on the Forrest Highway.

The Miami team is looking forward to once again seeing those swimmers that participate every year and welcoming the new starters.

With Miami Bakehouse's first bakery being in the beach town of Falcon, it is fitting for them to continue their support of the Busselton Jetty Kid's Swim.
