Bayside Council will host the 2024 Migrant Information Day in the Rockdale Town Hall in partnership Advance Diversity Services and Georges River Council.
Migrant Information Day, a free event that supports new migrants and refuges settling in the community, will take place on Wednesday 2 October from 10am to 2pm in the Rockdale Town Hall.
This annual event initiated by the St George Multi Cultural Network over 20 years ago, is a vital resource for new migrants and refugees.
The event plays a vital role helping new arrivals learn more about the available resources and assistance when settling into a new community.
There will be information stalls, cultural performances, a free BBQ and bilingual staff will be able to provide translation assistance.
Migrant Information Day provides valuable information on various aspects of integration, including housing, health, employment, education, support, and government services.
Attendees can also bring their e-waste and batteries to drop off for disposal.
