A Flood Watch continues for the Fitzroy catchment and the central and southern interior of Queensland.
A severe weather warning is current for parts of Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast Forecast Districts, with heavy rainfall developing over the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay and Burnett district on Friday.
Severe thunderstorms with locally heavy rain and damaging winds will be possible across central, north and the southern interior of the state today.
Damaging winds are possible in the northern interior and with localised thunderstorm activity, especially on the coastline.
Due to the evolving nature of the situation, it is very important that people closely monitor the forecast and warnings.
