Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man believed to be missing in bush near the township of Dunwich, Queensland Police say.
Ronald Maher (pictured) was last seen on Wednesday at his residence in Dunwich.
Mr Maher may be disorientated and it is unknown if he still on the Island or has travelled to Cleveland.
He regularly goes for walks in the bush and his normal route would take him toward ‘One Mile Jetty’ or into Dunwich shops.
His exact whereabouts is unknown however police have commenced a search of the bushland around Dunwich.
He is described as 80-years-old, 180cm tall, medium build and of Caucasian appearance with brown eyes and greying hair.
Police ask anyone who has seen Mr Maher of have any further information to contact Policelink on 131444.
