A man missing from Marrickville has been located safe and well following a police issued SMS geo-targeting alert today.
The 90-year-old man was last seen at Marrickville about 11.30am today (Friday 8 July 2022).
Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified when he was unable to be located.
Police subsequently issued a public appeal for information and an SMS geo-targeting alert to the Marrickville and surrounding areas.
About 1.30pm, the man was located by a member of the public at Stanmore – who had received the SMS alert.
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
