Missing Pushbike Rider Located At Cobar

An appeal for public assistance after a pushbike was located unattended has concluded with the rider being located safe and well.

About 7am yesterday (Monday 21 October 2024), officers from Central North Police District were notified after a push bike was located unattended along the Barrier Highway, approximately 3km east of Wool Track Road, Cobar.

Police were informed that the previous day (Sunday 20 October 2024) a man was seen to dismount from the bike and walk into bushland.

Following extensive inquiries, it was established the rider walked back to Cobar before leaving the district on a bus.

Officers have since spoken to the man and no further action is required.

Police would like to thank the media, public and other emergency services including the RFS and SES for their assistance.
