What should the community look like in 2045?

Moira Shire council is calling on community members to be part of a Community Panel to play a vital role in the development of the Moira Community Vision 2045 and the Council Plan 2025-2029.

Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson PSM said Council was about to embark on developing a 20-year vision to help guide Council's long-term planning.

"Forming a clear and forward-thinking vision for Moira Shire is crucial for guiding our future growth and development. The Community Panel will play an integral role in this process by ensuring that the community's voice is at the heart of our long-term vision and strategic planning."

Council is seeking up to 20 individuals 18 years and older, who are passionate about the future of their Moira community. By assembling a group of residents with diverse experiences and perspectives, the panel will offer essential input to ensure that Council's decisions reflect the needs and aspirations of the entire community.

"By bringing together residents from various backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, the panel will provide valuable insights, advice, and feedback to guide the development of a 20-year vision for Moira Shire.

"Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area, your perspective is valuable, and we encourage you to apply. We are looking for people from all walks of life who want to make a positive impact on our Shire's future," Dr Emonson said.

Applications for the Community Panel open from Thursday 29 August and close on Thursday 3 October.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of a group that will help shape the future of Moira Shire.
