Monash College Future Skills Unveils New Cybersecurity Courses

Monash College Future Skills has launched its all new Cyber pillar education offering, including its flagship course, the Diploma of IT (Cyber specialisation), and a suite of short courses.

The world-leading Cyber program was launched to industry experts and leaders at Monash College's Cyber Launch event at the EdTech Summit ahead of Victorian National Skills Week.

Basic digital and cyber security skills are among the top priorities for Australian businesses, with 91 per cent of organisations reporting at least one cyber incident or breach, according to Deloitte's Global Future of Cyber report.

Executive Director, Future Skills, Monash College Ms Jane Trewin said the Diploma of IT (Cyber) was designed to meet this urgent need.

"Learners will have first-hand experience in undertaking studies developed in partnership with globally recognised leaders and world-class educators, with reference to CISCO IT Essentials and access to our Netlab," said Ms Trewin.

"We offer professionals the chance to future-proof their career and protect their businesses with the Diploma of IT (Cyber).

"We are thrilled that Monash College will play a central role in a week dedicated to the EdTech sector, to innovation and digital learning, and to championing the emerging competencies in the future of work."

Learners enrolling in the Monash College Future Skills Cyber pillar programs and courses will gain:

The Cyber Launch event was addressed by a host of expert leaders, including Brian Wexham, CEO and Chair, National Skills Week, Craig Robertson, Victorian Skills Commissioner, Jamie Wiggins, Intelligence and Vulnerability Management Lead, Healthscope.
