Police have charged a teen after an allegedly stolen vehicle collided with a police car in Mooroolbark early this morning.
Officers allegedly caught sight of a stolen white Infinity sedan in fast-food outlet car park on Manchester Road shortly after midnight.
The Infinity allegedly took off from the scene, clipping a police car before fleeing.
No one was injured.
The Air Wing followed the vehicle as it travelled at alleged speeds of up to 250km/h, making its way into Melbourne's CBD.
Four occupants allegedly dumped the Infinity on Bourke Street and took off on foot about 1.10am.
Critical Incident Response Team and Dog Squad members attended and arrested two teenage boys nearby.
A search was conducted of the vehicle, allegedly locating several machetes and knives which were seized.
Despite a thorough search of the area, the remaining alleged occupants were not located.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen from outside a Box Hill South gym about 6.30pm on Sunday 30 March.
A 14-year-old boy, from the Bendigo area, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
A 17-year-old boy, from the Maribyrnong area, was charged with possessing a drug of dependence.
The pair were bailed to appear before a Childrens' Court at a later date.
