A trial of six new coach services will help customers stay better connected with their family, friends and community.
New coach services available to customers in the Far West include:
- a Wednesday return service from Moree to Walgett (via Bullarah and Collarenebri) with connecting service to Dubbo
- a Wednesday return will connect from Walgett to Moree (via Collarenebri and Bullarah) with connecting service to Grafton, and onto Brisbane or Byron Bay
- a Thursday return service from Goodooga to Lightning Ridge and Dubbo
New coach services available to customers in the South East and Tablelands include:
- a Wednesday return service from Cabramurra to Cooma (via Anglers Reach and Adaminaby) with connecting service to Canberra
- a Tuesday return coach service from Bigga to Goulburn (via Binda, Crookwell and Grabben Gullen) with connecting service to Canberra
- a new Thursday return service from Delegate to Nimmitabel (via Nimmitabel and Bombala) with connecting service to Canberra.
In New England North West, the existing daily return coach service from Tenterfield to Armidale will now stop at Ben Lomond.
Another seven new services will roll out in the first half of 2020.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the latest coach trials are part of a bigger program to help regional communities stay connected.
"Services will initially commence on a trial basis and allow us to respond to any feedback to improve connections," Mr Toole said.
"We have had great success with earlier coach trials and have now permanently timetabled the Tamworth to Dubbo and the Tamworth to Port Macquarie service after a fantastic response from the public."
