More Charges Filed in Antisemitic Graffiti Case

A woman has been charged over multiple antisemitic graffiti offences across Sydney's east and south.

On Thursday 30 January 2025, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were called to multiple locations in Sydney's east following reports of malicious damage.

Police attended a school on Runic Lane, Maroubra, a nearby home on Hannan Street and, a shopping centre on Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens, where they allegedly located multiple forms of antisemitic graffiti.

On the same day, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were called to a home on Sparks Street, Eastlakes, following reports of alleged antisemitic graffiti.

Police established crime scenes at all locations and commenced an investigation into the incidents.

It is alleged the incidents are linked and detectives attached to Strike Force Pearl took carriage of both investigations.

Since the commencement of the investigation, police have charged three people in connection with this incident. They remain before the Courts.

Following further inquiries, about 11am today (Tuesday 8 April 2025), Strike Force detectives have arrested a 27-year-old woman at a home on Maloney Street, Eastlakes.

She was taken to Mascot Police Station where she was charged with destroy/damage property intent criminal activity of group, destroy damage property in company less than or equal to $2000, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner (two counts), never licensed person drive vehicle on road, and possess drug (not cannabis leaf/MDMA) not exceed small quantity.

She was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court today (Tuesday 8 April 2025).

Investigations under Strike Force Pearl continue.
