More Flexibility In Bulky Waste Changes

MidCoast Council

MidCoast Council's Bulky Waste collection services have changed providing greater flexibility for residents.

Households will continue to receive a free Bulky Waste collection each year, however you can book it in when it suits you.

Simply organise what date works for you and head online to midcoast.nsw.gov.au/bulkywaste and book your pickup. Phone bookings are also accepted.

Residents of properties with more than six dwellings must arrange a combined Bulky Waste collection via the strata / body corporate or managing agent.

When booking your collection you are eligible for a free mattress disposal but this must be done by dropping it off yourself at your nearest waste management centre.

MidCoast Council's Waste Manager, David Rees said the changes provide residents with an improved service.

"It means you don't have to schedule your collection around a specific date. It allows you to use the service at your discretion and as you need," he explained.

The new system started on July 1.
