Round 5 of the Better Fishing Grants is now open, with an expanded criteria for facilities to improve recreational sea fishing opportunities across Tassie.
The Tasmanian Government is investing $3 million through the Better Fishing Grants to improve facilities for recreational fishers and local communities.
Minister for Business, Industry and Resources, Eric Abetz, said supporting recreational fishing was important under the Government's 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future.
"Tasmania has the longest coastline relative to land area of any State in Australia and it provides outstanding opportunities for world class fishing," Minister Abetz said.
"This has seen recreational fishing become deeply rooted in our communities and our Government is eager to support this much-loved past time.
"This latest round of the Better Fishing Grants will deliver small grants of up to $30,000 or large grants of up to $300,000 will do just that.
"The expanded criteria ensures that recreational fishers have a say in how we can continue to improve recreational sea fishing in our State."
