More Owners Of Property Sought

Police are still working to identify owners of a huge volume of stolen property found at Burton last month.

Investigations into stolen property led Northern District Police to a Burton industrial premises on Wednesday 5 June.

It will be alleged officers found a large cache of stolen property, including vehicles, trailers, earthmoving equipment, horse buggies and approximately 20 shipping containers, also containing stolen goods.

Investigators have been cataloguing property and returning items to the rightful owners.

Police are now seeking the assistance of the public to help identify the owners of two dozen distinctive items suspected of being stolen.

A 41-year-old Burton man located on the property is facing charges of trafficking in a controlled drug, possess prescribed equipment, theft and unlawful possession.
