The City of Melbourne is ramping up its campaign to get more people vaccinated, with an additional $50,000 worth of prizes up for grabs from Monday.
To enter, people are being encouraged to share their vaccine hero stories on Instagram for the chance to win a $1,000 spending spree at the Queen Victoria Market, Emporium or Melbourne Central.
Lord Mayor Sally Capp said the initiative is about putting Victoria's vaccine heroes in the spotlight and incentivising others to follow their lead.
"Every single one of us has a role to play to slow the spread, reduce the harm and enable our city to reopen, so we're doing everything we can to encourage Victorians to get the jab if they're eligible," the Lord Mayor said.
"With more people eligible than ever before, now is the time for us to race to the finish line which will see us protect the most vulnerable, allow our businesses to confidently reopen, and see the people we love.
"This is also a chance to support traders by encouraging people to shop local, and to return to the city when it's safe to do so."
